Space Marine Devastators - Unboxing and Assembly

Aussem 40k News and Updates

Hey folks!

I hope everyone had a good Halloween! Thought I'd take a minute to post a couple news updates on my channel.

My most recent stop motion (Gamma Squad Rescue) is still under construction. Unfortunately I've been having some computer troubles lately that have been severely slowing me down, and so it will still be some time until it's done. It takes quite a bit of work to make one of these look decent. In a perfect world, I'd have a team of people to help me make these!

I've got lots of fantastic ideas that I want to use for a stop motion series based on the original Possessed video I did. When I made the original, it was quite rushed and I didn't have a plan for the story. I made it up as I went! But now I know what I'm doing, and much adventure is coming!

I just need to get my computer fixed as well as other primary aspects of my life more stable first. Due to certain priorities, when things get more complicated in life it's the 40k hobby time that suffers first sadly. But I won't go on about that here!

In the meantime, unboxings, tactics, battle reports and similar videos are quite a bit easier for me to make while all this is going on. So I'll try to put out as much entertaining content as I can. I was thinking of doing some Let's play videos for showcasing mods for Dawn of War and such.

But I want my content to be entertaining. Let me know what you guys would really love to see!

Thanks for being so faithful. I think this hobby is great, and I refuse to give it up!

Happy War gaming!

MWG Space Marine Chapter Design

Similar to my Angels of Iron Scheme, but with an emphasis on Green. From what I can tell, mine is/will be similar to the other entries. (Also close to Salamanders)

It's very straight forward so painting shouldn't be difficult, but I think it looks decent!

The white parts on the back pack could be optional.
The Veterans could have white helmets, and feature lots of gold trimming.

Gamma Squad Rescue Part 1

Stop motion entry for the MiniWarGaming Video Contest. Enjoy!

I didn't want to split it up, but I decided that it was worth it to get it in for the video contest.
But I got the rest in the works, so hopefully that will be up by the end of the month.
Lots of work, but lots of fun at the same time!

See you at Apocalypticon MWG!
Happy Wargaming!

Games Workshop changes their policy... again.

Hi guys,

I just finished filming my next stop motion. Taking a break from it, I decided to catch up with the latest war gaming news.

As some of you probably know already, GW has changed their Policy again. The goal is to disallow the selling of Games Workshop products through independent retailers via online stores. This seems to have already happened to some places, but now they trying to be through.

Just when I thought they couldn't get any worse, GW manages to find a new way to upset their fan base.

Now I'm no lawyer, so I don't know the full extent of the policy change. To me, the worst part of this that the beloved Miniwargaming may suffer from this.

Miniwargaming, in my eyes, has brought more support to the hobby than GW ever has (other than the fact that GW makes the models and books). MWG to me, is like a center of the war gaming community. Through their videos, forums, events, sales, contests, etc., they have brought a sense of fellowship to the war gaming industry. That's something that cannot be bought, it's something that's earned.

GW has threatened the community this way before, but this is a new low. I almost want it to be GW's downfall. But I would rather have them learn and turn their company around than do the alternative.

I'm looking forward to hear what MWG has to say about this. Maybe it's not as bad as I'm interpreting, but I think I speak for a lot of people when I say I would hate to see MWG have to go through a financial struggle because of this. I just hope everything works out.

For Miniwargaming's news posting of this, click here.

Although these videos are from last year, they are as relevant as ever. Here is Matt from Miniwargaming's open letter to Games Workshop.

Here's to hoping Games Workshop can see some reason.
